- Happy New Year to all!! And you know what the new year brings, new shows, new shows, and more shows!!! A couple shows in our favorite places south Florida, NYC, and Baton Rouge. Yeah, yeah, yeah we said it, Baton Rouge is one of our favorite places. Check the shows page for the next show in your area and keep checking back for samples from the recording of the upcoming album 'La Pelicula de Tu Vida'!!

- It's been a little while without an update so here's the latest and the greatest....The video is this close to completion. It seems like it's taken a long time but the end is in sight (knock on wood, cross fingers, etc., etc.) We've been moving and shaking here in Miami and we've staked out the Estefan mansion. Things are beginning to move and hopefully we'll begin work on our second album in the coming months, tentatively titled 'La Pelicula de Tu Vida'. More news to come!!!!

- And now the big news.... Palo Viejo is relocating headquarters to Miami! We have big hopes that this will bring us closer to the heart of the industry y si Dios quiere, will lead to our big break. Louisiana has been fantastic to us we'd like to thank everyone here who has made this dream possible. We've already planned shows for a return to both Baton Rouge and New Orleans as well as Houston and Dallas. Nos vemos pronto!

- Por fin!! The video is close to completion. There were some unforseen setbacks (the original director quiting, scheduling, etc.) but we have finished filming videos for both Barataria and Corazón. Video guru Daniel Gibbs, who also filmed Barataria, will be comleting the editing on both and *fingers crossed* we should have someting to show in 2 or 3 weeks. Big news brewing as well.... Hasta la proxima!

- Big thanks to the Nashville and Atlanta chapters of the Palo Viejo fan club making it down for the New Orleans show. We can't tell you how much it meant to us and how much we appreciate it! - Just confirmed!!! Palo Viejo will be playing the Carlotan Rock Festival with Los Amigos Invisibles and La Rúa!!!

- SXSW was freaking incredible!! The conference was cool with some interesting panels but the main course was the live music on display all day, everyday. We saw Japanese punk bands, Mexican metal bands, and Swedish experimental bands. Absolutely nuts! We played two sets, one for ME Television and another for the Latin Alternative Showcase. At the Latin Alternative Showcase, we ran over our alotted time by a few minutes and the sound guy turned off the sound system on us! But our fans FINISHED SINGING THE SONG for us!!! It was an amazing moment for all of us and we want to sincerely thank you all! Correremos por ustedes!!

- News, news, and more news..Palo Viejo is performing at the biggest, baddest music conference on the planet, the SXSW Music Conference. We're really looking forward to toasting with all the bands from around the world and around the corner. Woo hoo!!

- Palo Viejo will be performing live at the prestigious Varsity Theatre on Friday March 3rd and we will be filming scenes for our upcoming music video to be played on MTV Espa�ol, Mun2, LaTV and others. The video will be directed by critically acclaimed independent film maker Chris Comeaux. We want to feature in the video our hometown fans and all of you who supported us from the start. We'll see everyone there!!!

- Houston we love you!!! What a show last night!! Los Skarnales were rockin the casbah as usual and the Continental Club was hopping! Thanks to Los Skarnales for putting us on the bill, those guys are some of the coolest cats around and if you get a chance definitely go check em out. Rock!

- Thanks to all who braved the monsoon on Friday. You are the best fans any band could ask for! We'll see you all again on March 3rd at the Varsity Theatre. Next weekend we're off to Houston! hasta pronto!!

- Thanks to everyone who came out for the Red Cross benefit on Friday! We were able to raise a lot of money that's going to where it's needed most.

- We'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We and all of our loved ones are safe and dry but there are still thousands who are still trapped in the city. If you would like to help in the relief effort please contact the Red Cross to see how you can contribute. Proceeds from our Friday show will be donated to the Red Cross of Louisiana so please come out and show your support.

- August is a big month for PALO VIEJO!! We've been invited to the Latin Alternative Music Conference in New York taking place in early August. The LAMC is the largest gathering of music reps and artists in the genre! We'll also be performing in New York live at Sounds of Brazil on August 5th. Artists such as Aterciopelados, Caf� Tacuba, and Man� have performed there and we have the pleasure of performing with multi-platinum selling group Moenia and Grammy nominated Circo. �Pa'lante!
